Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has taken to social media thanked Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.

The Gunner's record signing helped himself to a much needed goal whilst on international duty for the Ivory Coast over the weekend and he had the Eagles forward - a summer transfer target for the north London outfit - to thank.

Zaha showed some brilliant footwork to get past a couple of defenders in the box, before picking out Pepe who made no mistake from close range to make it 2-0 against DR Congo shortly before half-time.

As expected, the goal got Arsenal fans talking, while Pepe added footage of the goal to his Instagram story after it had been uplloaded by Corinne Pepe.

Shortly after Zaha responded to his international team-mates, with a message on Twitter which read: "You're welcome Nico."

That promoted a massive responsse from some Arsenal fans. For the best responses.

And now the back and forth between the two wingers has continued on social media.

Pepe took to Instagram again and had a simple four-word message for Zaha.
